Thelma and Louise are a bonded pair of Afghan Hound, Irish Wolfhound mixes. They spent their first 6 years of life outside in a field with little human interaction, and no love or attention. They are both eager and willing to love, but trust is earned from each new person they meet.
These two are quiet girls. Very little barking or pacing. In fact, since learning about the comforts of air conditioning and a soft bed, they’re both total couch potatoes. They spend their days and nights doing what both their breeds are best at: Lounging.
They quickly learned a potty schedule and can also use a doggie door. They have learned to tolerate leash walks, and don’t pull on leash, but they prefer the freedom of a fenced yard.
These two are low energy, independent, easy keepers. They are the perfect pair of unique and impressive couch ornaments for the busy family.
They are sweet and gentle with kids and other dogs. They are even well behaved around larger companion birds!
Enjoy all the grace and independence of the Afghan, with the easy to care for coat of the Wolfhound.
Thelma and Louise require a six foot fenced yard and a security minded owner. They do not yet have any recall, and care should be taken to prevent escapes. They will be happiest in a home with carpet. They struggle like Bambi on ice on hardwood floors.
